What Mini Storage Units Did for Me?

Let’s take a look at the world of brilliant storage. We won’t sound like we’re on a spaceship or exploring a new continent. It’s storage but, I assure you, it can be cool.

Imagine the condition of your house today. It’s likely that you have a lot of clutter if your home is anything like mine. What is the history behind all these items? The boxes of the last Christmas’s presents are still there. The closet is a mess and we’ve barely begun to mention the Christmas gifts still in their original boxes. We didn’t realize how much we needed mini storage.

Selecting a storage unit for small items isn’t rocket science. But there are things to think about. You don’t need to rent a big unit if you only want a small area. Perhaps you have considered the climate control. But did you really? When storing old photos or comic books from your grandmother you don’t want humidity to turn them into a chemical experiment.

It is important to consider security. It’s important that you can find it when you return. Find places that are equipped with good cameras and locks – just like Fort Knox, without gold bars.

Location is also very important. Moving to the middle is not a bad idea if you are looking to save money. However, you may find that it takes an hour for you to purchase camping gear or holiday decorations. Spending more to save time or gas? Priceless.

Have fun and get creative with your unit. Who says you can only use it as a storage unit? Some people even use it as a mini gym or an art studio. They use them to practice their bands (though, I’m sure that will be a hit with the neighbors). If you want to make the best of your space, think outside the box. Or in this case, inside.

You do not want your storage space to become a “black pit” where all the unwanted things go to die. Be sure to do an inventory every few months. Do I require three fondue kit? It’s unlikely. Keep your items in order to make sure you enjoy and use them.

Let’s start with money. Renting a bad boy might seem like another bill. Comparing it to the inconvenience of tripping daily over clutter or renting an extra-large place just for closet space, this is a much better option. This is the best way to save money.

One last bit of advice: Holding on to things does not necessarily mean you must have them around you 24/7. We can rest easier when they are given away.

The little garages can be lifesavers. They give us more space for living, and they keep our most precious belongings safe (and hidden). You could have them magically organized… a girl can only wish!

Quick answer: Eco-friendly Construction? This isn’t just about good vibes. It is smart. You will definitely want to hug at minimum two trees. It takes time. Eco-friendly houses are not built overnight. Build a sustainable home that is energy-efficient and durable with humor, creativity, patience, and perhaps even a little bit of humor. Cheers!
